Vision, Mission, and Goals

Vision FMIPA UNILA

To become a leading faculty in the fields of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science, and to make a real contribution to sustainable development for the welfare of society. FMIPA's vision is formulated to support the realization of Unila's vision: 'By 2025, the University of Lampung becomes one of the top 10 universities in Indonesia.'

Mission FMIPA UNILA

The mission formulated to realize FMIPA's vision is as follows:

  1. Organize education, research, and community service based on the concepts and applications of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science;
  2. Produce graduates in the fields of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science who are competitive at the national and international levels;
  3. Enhance the faculty's role as an innovation agent in the development of science and technology as well as socio-cultural fields. Continuously improve the quality of human resources (HR), infrastructure, and academic management;
  4. Strengthen synergistic partnerships with various national and international institutions and corporations to support the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum.

To implement the mission in realizing the above vision, it is necessary to apply core values that serve as the foundation and direction for the attitudes and behaviors of the entire FMIPA Unila academic community. The core values referred to are those stated in the Unila 2020-2024 Strategic Plan, which include five management functions: Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Leading, and Controlling, while upholding the principles of Good University Governance.

Goals FMIPA UNILA

Based on the previously formulated mission, FMIPA Unila has determined the following objectives:

  • The implementation of educational services as well as research and community service activities based on the concepts of Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science and their applications.
  • The production of excellent and/or new scientific and technological findings, published in nationally and internationally accredited journals, as well as the acquisition of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) for these new findings.
  • The enhancement of public knowledge and skills to improve welfare through high-quality, innovative community service activities based on excellent and/or new scientific and technological outputs.
  • The production of graduates in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science who are capable of competing at both national and international levels.
  • The production of graduates in Mathematics, Natural Sciences, and Computer Science who can become agents of innovation.
  • The realization of professional organizational management in academic, financial, and human resource domains, supported by competent natural resources.
  • The establishment of synergistic partnerships with various national and international institutions and corporations to support the implementation of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) curriculum.

The formulation of the above objectives is based on FMIPA's Vision and Mission as well as the future challenges of FMIPA, taking into account the resources and infrastructure that are currently available and those that will be available in the future.
