Dr. Annisaa Siti Zulaicha Officially Receives Doctoral Degree at the FMIPA FMIPA Doctoral Promotion Session, University of Lampung

The Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) of the University of Lampung has again produced new doctors through the implementation of the Doctoral Promotion Session for the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Doctoral Study Program (S3) which was held on Wednesday, July 1 2026, at the Dean Room of the FMIPA, Lampung University, Floor III.

The doctoral promotion session was attended byDr. Annisaa Siti Zulaicha, M.Si., who successfully defended her dissertation entitled “Synthesis of Fe3O4@Carbon Nanoparticles (Fe3O4NPsMO@C) Using Moringa Leaf Extract (Moringa oleifera Lamk.) as a Dye Adsorbent.” This success marks the highest academic achievement achieved by Dr. Annisaa Siti Zulaicha after going through the education, research and scientific publication process at the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Doctoral Study Program, FMIPA, University of Lampung.

The promotion session was led byDr. Eng. Heri Satria, S.Si., M.Si, as Dean of FMIPA, University of Lampung who acted as Chair of the Session. Also attendingDr. Khoirin Nisa, S.Si., M.Si.as Head of the MIPA Doctoral Study Program (S3) who oversees the academic process until the final stage of completion of the promovendus study.

The team of supervisors who accompanied the preparation of the dissertation consisted ofProf. Dr. Buhani, M.Sias Promoter,Prof. Ir. Suharso, Ph.D.as Co-Promoter I, andDr. Agung Abadi Kiswandono, S.Si., M.Scas Co-Promoter II. Meanwhile, the testing team consists ofProf. Dr. Kamisah Delilawati Pandiangan, S.Si., M.Sias Internal Examiner andProf. Dr. Dra. Poedji Loekitowati Hariani, M.Si.as an External Examiner who provided a comprehensive evaluation of the substance, methodology and scientific contribution of the research presented.

The research raised in the dissertation aims to develop a magnetic nanoparticle-based adsorbent material Fe3O4@Carbon (Fe3O4NPsMO@C) by utilizing moringa leaf extract (Moringa oleifera Lamk.) as an environmentally friendly agent in the synthesis process. This innovation is expected to be able to produce an effective adsorbent for removing dyes from liquid waste so that it can contribute to the development of waste processing technology that is more efficient, sustainable and environmentally friendly.

During the trial, promovendus presented the research results scientifically in front of the promoter team, examiners and invited guests. Academic discussions took place actively through the submission of various questions, criticism and suggestions aimed at testing the depth of analysis, the novelty of research, and the benefits of research results for the development of chemistry, especially in the fields of advanced materials, nanotechnology and environmental technology.

After going through the presentation process, question and answer session, and deliberation by the examining team,Dr. Annisaa Siti Zulaicha, M.Si. was declared successfully defending her dissertation and officially obtained the title of Doctor in the Mathematics and Natural Sciences Doctoral Study Program, FMIPA, University of Lampung.

This doctoral promotion session was also attended by lecturers from the Department of Chemistry, FMIPA, University of Lampung, academic guests from the Sumatra Institute of Technology (ITERA), the promovendus family, students, as well as various other invited guests who provided support and appreciation for this success. The presence of academics across universities further strengthens the spirit of collaboration in the development of research and innovation in the fields of science and technology.

Through holding this doctoral promotion session, FMIPA Lampung University has once again demonstrated its commitment to producing doctoral graduates who are superior, innovative, and able to make real contributions to the development of science, technology, as well as solving various environmental problems through quality research results.

All leaders and academics of FMIPA Lampung University wish you congratulations and success. to Dr. Annisaa Siti Zulaicha, M.Sifor her success in obtaining a Doctoral degree. Hopefully this academic achievement will be an inspiration for other academics and provide broad benefits for society, the world of education and the development of science in Indonesia.
