FMIPA is working to achieve international education standards by aiming for accreditation equivalent to universities in Europe. Besides, FMIPA is also active in providing local-level education through the Computer Science Undergraduate Program in Waykanan Regency, as well as supporting national programs such as the Independent Learning Independent Campus (MBKM). At the international level, FMIPA will be welcoming around 20 students from the Mathematics Study Program of the University of Malaya, Malaysia, as part of efforts to strengthen global academic cooperation. In addition, FMIPA is also running a student exchange program with Sriwijaya University (Unsri), which involves students from both universities. The Vice Dean for Academic and Cooperation of FMIPA UNILA conveyed to the new students the importance of learning to organize while in the campus environment. He stressed that through involvement in organizations, students will learn many things, such as how to make proposals, prepare responsibility reports (LPJ), and speak in front of many people. This experience will be invaluable for students when entering the workforce later. With the skills gained during organizational activities, students are expected to no longer be shocked and already have a good understanding of the outline of how to carry out tasks and responsibilities in the professional world. This is an essential part of equipping students for future success. The Vice Dean for Student and Alumni Affairs of FMIPA UNILA stated that this year's Campus Life Introduction Event for New Faculty Students (PKKMBF) was very lively, even better than last year's event. He also conveyed that based on evaluations from the Student Association (HIMA) peers, the PKKMBF event in 2024 is expected to be even more lively, with improved quality and variety of activities. Also, the Vice Dean for General and Financial Affairs of FMIPA UNILA also participated in this event by providing material on student activities proposals and reports. This material is conveyed to help students understand the procedures and how to propose and report student activities, which is an essential part in developing organizations and student activities in FMIPA UNILA. All these initiatives are part of FMIPA's commitment to improving community welfare at various levels, both locally, nationally, and internationally. The activity began with the movement of new students to the location of the Campus Life Introduction Event for New Faculty Students (PKKMBF), which was opened by the Dean of FMIPA Unila. The event was marked by the striking of a gong as the official start of the PKKMBF, and the opening of the 35th Dies Natalis of FMIPA Unila. As a symbol of the Dies Natalis celebration, the Dean of FMIPA handed over three plants to the new students and released three pairs of doves, symbolizing hopes for growth, peace, and sustainability in the academic journey and life in FMIPA Unila.
