Department of Physics Unila Wins ASIIN International Accreditation for 5 Years

Physics Department – Tuesday, April 15, 2024 Another proud achievement was achieved by the University of Lampung (Unila). The Physics Department, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) has successfully achieved international accreditation from the Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, Natural Sciences and Mathematics (ASIIN) Germany, with a full validity period of 5 years, until 2029.
This success is clear evidence of the commitment of the Unila Physics Department to improving the quality of education and the implementation of study programs in accordance with international standards. ASIIN accreditation was given after a comprehensive evaluation process by an international assessor team, covering aspects of the curriculum, human resources, laboratory facilities, and internal quality assurance systems.
The Head of the Unila Physics Department, Arif Surtono, M.Sc., M.Eng., expressed his gratitude and pride for this achievement. "This accreditation is not only an acknowledgment of the quality that we have built together, but also a motivation to continue to improve the quality of education, research, and community service," he said.
Vice Rector for Academic Affairs of Unila, Prof. Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, S.Si., M.T., also gave high appreciation for this achievement and stated that this international accreditation will open up opportunities for wider global collaboration, as well as increase the competitiveness of Physics Department graduates at the national and international levels.
By obtaining ASIIN accreditation, Unila's Physics Department is now on par with other internationally accredited physics study programs in the world, strengthening Unila's position as one of the leading universities in Indonesia.
