FMIPA Lampung University Holds Academic Workshop Discussing Strategies for Achieving CPL for Internationally Accredited Study Programs

Bandar Lampung, 25 June 2026 – Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) University of Lampung held an FMIPA Academic Workshop with the theme “The Role of Lecturers in Achieving Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL): Systematic Measurement Strategy for Internationally Accredited Study Programs” on Thursday, 25 June 2026. This activity took place in a hybrid manner via Zoom Meeting and centered in the FMIPA Dean's Meeting Room, University of Lampung, Floor II.

The FMIPA Academic Workshop at Lampung University is an activity to strengthen academic capacity which aims to increase lecturers' understanding of the strategic role in achieving Graduate Learning Achievements (CPL) as well as the implementation of a structured and sustainable measurement system in study programs that have or are currently heading for international accreditation.

The theme raised is very relevant considering the current demands for increasing the quality of higher education. only focuses on the learning process, but also on the study program's ability to measure, evaluate and document CPL achievements as part of international academic quality assurance standards.

This activity presented two resource persons who have extensive competence and experience in the fields of curriculum development, quality assurance and international accreditation, namely:

  • Prof. Dr. Tri Kuntoro Priyambodo, M.Sc. from Gadjah Mada University (UGM);
  • Didik Kurniawan, S.Si., M.T. from Lampung University.

The workshop was attended by lecturers, teaching staff, as well as several students from the FMIPA University of Lampung who attended directly in the FMIPA Dean's Meeting Room, Floor II or online via Zoom Meeting.

The activity was officially opened byProf. Dr. Eng. Suripto Dwi Yuwono, S.Si., M.T., Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs, University of Lampung. On this occasion, he conveyed the importance of the role of lecturers as spearheads in ensuring the achievement of CPL which is in line with the institutional vision and international standards.

Apart from that, remarks were also delivered byDr. Eng. Heri Satria, S.Si., M.Si., as Dean of FMIPA, University of Lampung, who emphasized FMIPA's commitment to improving the quality of education and strengthening the culture of academic quality to support the achievement of international accreditation for all study programs.

The workshop was held on Thursday, June 25 2026, as part of the agenda for academic development and improving the quality of education within FMIPA, University of Lampung.

The activity took place in the Dean Room of FMIPA Lampung University, Floor II and was carried out in a hybrid manner via Zoom Meeting, thus allowing participant participation both offline and online.

The implementation of this workshop was motivated by the need to increase the understanding and readiness of lecturers in implementing an Outcome-Based Education (OBE) based learning system and carrying out CPL measurements in a systematic and documented manner. Accurate CPL measurement is one of the main indicators in the international accreditation process and evaluation of the quality of study programs.

Through this activity, FMIPA Lampung University seeks to strengthen the capacity of academic human resources so that they are able to design effective evaluation instruments, carry out analysis of CPL achievement on an ongoing basis, and utilize the evaluation results as a basis for improving the quality of learning.

The activity begins with an official opening and remarks from the leadership of the University of Lampung and FMIPA University Lampung. Next, the speakers presented material regarding the basic concepts of CPL, implementation of Outcome-Based Education (OBE), strategies for preparing measurement instruments, methods for evaluating learning achievements, and good practices that have been applied to international standard study programs.

In the presentation session, Prof. Dr. Tri Kuntoro Priyambodo, M.Sc. explains the importance of integration between the curriculum, learning process, assessment and evaluation in supporting CPL achievement. Meanwhile, Didik Kurniawan, S.Sc., M.T. provides a practical perspective regarding the implementation of the CPL measurement system and experience of developing academic quality within the University of Lampung.

The workshop took place interactively with discussion and question and answer sessions involving lecturers and students. The various questions and input submitted by participants showed high enthusiasm for efforts to improve the quality of learning and guarantee academic quality.

Through holding this workshop, FMIPA Lampung University hopes that all lecturers will increasingly understand their role in achieving CPL and be able to implement systematic measurement strategies as part of a sustainable quality culture. This activity is also a concrete step for the FMIPA University of Lampung in supporting the achievement of international class higher education standards and increasing the competitiveness of graduates at the global level.
